Hello all

First time on here and I have a quick question. I have an emergency flight back to Oz tomorrow. However I get into LAX about midday and my flight is not until 10:30pm (LAX-SYD) from Terminal 4.

So should I just use the AA flagship lounge at Terminal 4 for the 9 or so hours or walk across to TBIT and use the QF first class lounge?

Which one is better? And is it worth my while to go through Security at TBIT just to use the lounge? if this is even possible?

G'day Snowmoo, welcome to AFF.

Your last sentence is the key. Unless you are travelling on a flight into/out of TBIT you will not have access.

There is quite a nice Joint QF/AA Facility at T4, containing a combined Flagship Lounge/Qantas First Class Lounge.

Great thanks for the quick response. I haven't experienced the T4 Flagship club at LAX. Chicago one is very small from experience so hopefully the lAX one is better.

Much better!

A lot more room - Generally better decor and it has showers. Similar food/drinks.

No PC's though, you need to go next door to the A/C for those.

A few delays/cancellations out of ORD this morning so Flagship lounge is absolutely chockers.

I have forgone the Flounge experience in favour of the AC - more room, and more importantly showers!

Just to clarify, the LAX F/L does have showers; although maybe not as many as the A/C. I have never used the A/C showers, but IIRC, the F/L has about 5.

Sorry, just to clarify my post, the ORD Flagship Lounge does not have showers, whereas the AC does.

Cheers,

I should read better.

Of course its ORD ; I trooped from the F/L up to the A/C last November because of this very thing.

50 people would pack the ORD F/L; the same number would not even half fill the LAX F/L.

At the Flounge in LAX now. And yes there are showers! I had one after being routed from Salt lake City to San Fran then Fresno then LA. What a day of travel. Needed a shower.

Nice view into Terminal 4. Food could be a bit better. Drinks are keeping me relaxed though.

Interesting to just hear over the speaker system here at Terminal 4. They offer a shuttle service across to TBIT from Gate 44. So if you are on a flight leaving TBIT, you can stay at the AA Lounge in terminal 4 and catch the shuttle across without passing through security again.

I just heard it then and thought I'd let everyone else know.
