Can I Transfer Altitude Black points to Virgin to upgrade seat?

I've booked two Flexi seats Melb to Cairns boxing day. Can I use my Altitude Black points to upgrade to Business? I have plenty of points and would have used them to book the seats first but couldn't get the time I wanted for some reason when checking through the rewards program.

Should be able to transfer the points to Velocity and upgrade. As long as the fare class is upgradeable which sounds like it is.

Thanks Zainman, that is what I hoped would be the case. Just have to figure out how to transfer the points now, I guess I do it through the Altitude Rewards site.

Log in to Altitude Rewards and you'll find the option under Redeem Awards => Travel => Frequent Flyer.

Before you transfer points, you might want to check that the flight has J Award availability. You can only upgrade if this is available.
