I am traveling from Australia (Queensland) to the USA using visa waiver/ESTA... i got a police caution when i was 15 (im now 23) and was questioned by police a couple years ago but charges were dropped. I've never been to court or jail... do these affect me being able to travel on ESTA?

I 'think' you should be ok. Depends on the wording of the application. Read it carefully to make sure.

I know it is not much of an answer, so hopefully others will have a better interpretation.

IMHO,

No actions where taken and no charges recorded I wouldn't stress about it.

I'd imagine the wording is "convicted" and not "charged". Also, being questioned is not the same thing as being charged. I would not even worry about it.
