Can I book a JQ INTL flight from the QF Website?

Hi All,

I'm looking at flights from SYD-MEL-DPS. I need to RV with my parents in Melbourne before we head off to Bali hence the reason for not going direct. My intent is to do it all in J (such that it is on JQ anyway). The flight from MEL-DPS needs to be on JQ metal.

If I look via the JQ website I can select flights only on JQ from SYD-MEL-DPS. Total price for J is $1106 (with the Max bundle) with the SYD-MEL being in Y.

If I book via the QF website I can elect flights on QF from SYD-MEL-DPS. Total price for J is $1100 but the SYD-MEL is in J as opposed to the JQ flight that is not.

My objective is to book the SYD-(QF)-MEL-(JQ)-DPS.

1. Is there a way that I can do this a one ticket? Booking separate tickets is cost prohibitive as the SYD-MEL alone in J is $699.
2. If I choose the JQ flights will I get the J status credits for the SYD-MEL as the flight only offers economy seating but I've paid for the bundle?

Doing it separate while not the ideal/cheapest is the best way.
Have not ever seen JQi on the QF website, only seen JQd on the QF website.
Rare/never saw a combo either on the QF website, ie QFd and JQi in the same bookability.
Why complicate something that could so easily be done as a separate booking?
If QF and JQ want to make life so complicated, so be it, there are way around it.
If you can find JQi J fares on the QF website, bravo to you!
Unless you can score a dom pax on an int JQ flight, rarer these days, you would not get J worth Qpoins and QF SC, and to do that, you have to book on the JQ website.
If things go pear shaped, best of luck trying to talk to the Philippines JQ contact centre.
Just book QFd as a comfort seat request booking, have to phone up, if you want the space nest to you as empty, cheaper than buying a J seat for an hours and a bit flight, no lounge access on SYD - MEL QFd of course, but the flight is so short.

Because as a separate booking the OP is not protected if their SYD-MEL flight is delayed, cancelled or retimed so that the connection to the separate MEL-DPS becomes impossible.

Try the multiple city option on the Qantas Web site and if that dosen't work you may be able to phone Qantas and book it on the phone and telling them that you won't pay the phone assistance fee because the Web site won't do it.
