Hi,
I know you can't book through sites like WotIf and earn QFF points which is fair enough as the hotel pays a large commission.
However I am booking direct with a Quest property in Melbourne and they gave me a price quote of 156 per night and I gave them details for the booking including my Qantas number. They then said that I would have to pay the rack rate of $230 per night or I couldn't earn points.
Now no QFF points are worth that much but in my experience no one pays rack rates.
I just think the hotel is getting the advertising and luring customers benefit of the QFF program but then refusing to award points even when book direct and pay the rate they quote.
What are the rules on this?
Dale.
