Call for action on airline gripes | News.com.au

Personally I don't see why... As has been discussed on here before, the price differences between airlines is as much the terms and conditions you wish to use.

I can chose to fly SYD - LHR in F, or I can chose to fly from SYD - LHR in discount Y on a LCC. The end result is the same, I will travel from SYD - LHR, the difference is the terms and conditions which that travel will take place.

I personally believe that if you fail to read over the Terms and Conditions then I have no sympathy if things go wrong, especially if your trying to fly from point A to point B and yet paying less than $10 to do so. For that $10, you have decided to take risks with that booking, nothing more nothing less.

Now why did I know from a reading of the thread title that this would be another nonews rant.:?::shock:

Link to nonews - yes.
Complaining about nonews - not this time.

Basically my complaint is that LCC's have sprung up offering cheap fares, and yet most people don't realise that in accepting these fares they are also accepting them without the protections.

Whilst yes quite a few airlines do have some way to go in treating the customer right, all in all you can't expect silver service from the local take away.
