Hi Folks, seeking your insightful knowledge on how points are calculated for this Qantas Classic Economy Reward booking (Booking Class - X) ?

截屏2026-02-04 18.59.44.png

Sector mileage (distance) is:
SYD - HND 4,863
HND - OKA 984
-------------------------
Total: 5,874

My understanding is it should be looked at as a combined one-way although two carriers (including Qantas) are used.
Looking up Partner Classic Flight Reward table (Effective for Bookings made from 5 August 2025),
Zone 7 (5801-7000 miles) Economy - 51,800 points should be charged.

If my assumption is wrong, it will be calculated as two one-way.
(Segment 1) Qantas Classic Flight Reward table (Effective for Bookings made from 5 August 2025),
Zone 6 (4801-5800) Economy - 36,200 points should be charged

(Segement 2) Partner Classic Flight Reward table (Effective for Bookings made from 5 August 2025),
Zone 2 (601-1200) Economy - 16,100 points should be charged.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Total: 62,300 points

In either case, it doesn't add up to 67,700 points showing up on the screen.

Could you please review and advise how the miles should be calculated for this booking?

If you change reward tables you’ll be charged sector by sector. Unless qantas and JAL are in the same table, it’s charged per flight.

Is the Japan connecting flight in economy? Or in another class? Sometimes it’s in a higher class but they do t show it unless you click.
