Cairns-based East Air launches Cairns to Hamilton Island, adds Dash 8s

Cairns-based airline East Air will commence flights between Cairns and Hamilton Island on Monday 3 November.

Flights operate 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sale fares are available for $235. The flights will initially operate on the 19-seat Beech 1900.

The airline is also adding ex-QantasLink Dash 8-Q300s to its fleet, and plans to transition the route to the type as demand grows.

Interesting reading that, Alan Milne who was the Skytrans boss is the owner. It looks like he no longer works at Skytrans.
