How can WP be achieved from NB for only $2800, if your in AU? Using Y-UP's in the US it could be possible, but even then...

(Depending on the answer I see a status run coming up... :D)
It is still possible but you will need to get to Asia and then fly non stop for 7 days or longer if you want a break in between. Not really suitable unless you are already there for business or holidays.

To answer the OP, assuming you have credit cards that sweep to QFF, all you need to do is use your points for premium Any Seat Awards, there are some really good value deals right now and they earn both points and SC’s, with the SC’s giving you status. You still have to fly somewhere, but if you didn’t want to fly somewhere, what would the point of QF status be. :p

That’s your easiest way of buying status.
