Hi all,

Has anyone recently taken a QF business shorthaul to NZ from MEL / SYD recently, to WLG in particular?

Do you still get the amenity kit?

Thanks

Have flown J on B747 B767 A330 & B737 on routes MEL/SYD to/from AKL/CHC and have never received amenity kit (nor did I want or need 1)

Amenity Kits are not standard issue for TT flights.

FWIW, I once received a J amenity kit travelling in WHY on a 763 AKL-MEL - that was from an pro-active CSM.

I just love pro active CSM's. Sadly I find most of them on CX not QF.

OT, On my last J flight with CX, I assumed through conversation that the CSM on the flight can not tell the difference between CX Diamond and OWE. She refered to me as a Diamond member a few times in conversation. Anyone else noticed this?

i travel to Auckland with Emirates and QF 3-4 times a year and never got an amenity kit. If you ask you may get one though.

I actually went to Auckland last week. Travelled QF on the way to Auckland and Emirates back. QF does not use 747 anymore and the business class seats is the domestic one which is a joke for the price they charged ($1200 one-way). Emirates uses the A340 which has proper international business class seats and it costs about the same.

Some of my colleagues travelled in economy and they claim the difference is even greater as you pay less with Emirates but get personal entertainment system with 100s of movies. You get a 15 inch monitor hanging off the celing with QF.

I believe the TT services are treated basically as domestic flights. The last two SYD-AKL J flights I did were no different to say PER-MEL.

I did do breakfast flights, though, so perhaps they do the desert/liquor cart on the evening runs.
