So, I fly fairly regularly Melb-Syd on business and would like to bring my daughter along on a trip as I have family up there. The challenge is work pays for my flights and I want to purchase hers using FF points. Which you can't do for a minor.

Do I just need to ring up and explain the situation? Will I get charged extra for call the service desk? Does the fact I'm Platinum make any difference?

Appreciate your thoughts.

I just did this ( but in Y as my employer isnt as generous as yours). Call centre linked the bookings together and waived the fee as it coildnt be booked online. Does you child have a FF # as this made it very easy for me.

I was in a similar situation recently.

I had a revenue booking and booked an award for my wife BKK-SYD. When my daughter was born I called to add her to my wifes award booking and it was not possible. The consultant created a new booking for daughter and linked to my wifes booking, preallocated bassinet and the total charges were $1.40!

I think it'd be possible to add your daughter to your existing booking. Call and ask.
