Hi I am a new member, and am looking for the best places to get business class flights. We are in our 40s and have just retired from work, and are looking to do a lot of travelling over the next few years. Our passion is snow skiing, so most of our flights for the next few years will be to countries that have lots of snow.
We are Air NZ members (have an altitude card to help get points), so are looking for flights on the star alliance.
Can anyone give me some ideas?
Am kicking myself that I missed out on the super cheap Malaysian fares to America & Europe!!!!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello niqian and welcome to AFF... For business flights check out best flights.com.au.

I have found it a good resource for international flights...
Enjoy

Hi niqian,

Welcome to AFF :D

I would certainly look at Best Flights for fares but would book direct as the fare loadings for third party sites can be awful if you ever need to change your booking. Booking direct with the airline works the best on most occasions.

Or find yourself a good TA. bestflights and other online booking engines can be an absolute nightmare if you ever need to make amendments. A TA will save you time and shouldn't cost you any more than DIY via online sites.

Sorry ... Forgot to mention this... I just took it for granted that's what they would do... Sorry :(

Welcome to AFF niqian!

In your 40s and retired? Aren't you lucky? I am in my late 40s and plan on retiring in the next few years if all goes to plan. My goal early on in life was to retire at 50 but may miss that by a few years. Still a lot of travel to do and time running out....

Hi I am a new member, and am looking for the best places to get business class flights.
One of the keys to finding these cheaper J flights is to have a thorough understanding of what are all the possible routes available.

For example:
MEL-KUL can be flown on Air Asia, JetStar, SQ, EK, Royal Brunei, Philippine Airlines and Thai - so obviously good fares abound.

A route like SYD-JNB, not so much competition, so no real bargains (unless you are prepared to go on a long detour.)

So check you know all available options: On Wikipedia, there is a convenient list of all airlines which fly to/from all airports.
The ITA Matrix software shows most routings (but not always low-cost carriers)
