OMG......I didn't realise the AFF forum was just a blog for the whinging over privileged. Get over it princesses. Yes, a crying baby sucks. Nobody likes it, including the parents. If it is bothering you that much and the parent is obviously doing nothing, open your mouth and say something (in a nice way) to the parent.
There has been a few comments about airlines being dedicated no babies zones. I fully agree with this. All low cost carriers should implement this policy, so if you want to guarantee no babies, fly Jetstar, Tiger and other cough airlines. My money is on the over privileged continuing to fly full service airlines that offer premium cabins, despite the odd baby they might encounter. Argument over!
Think about it. Do you honestly think a full service airline is going to say NO to parents with babies in premium cabins. Premium cabins sales is where the money is for these airlines. They say YES to anyone prepared to pay. The drunks, the ones with body odour, the loud laughing ones, the DYKWIA's.
This whole discussion is only relevant on large planes anyway. Doesn't matter if you are in J or not on a B737. You're going to hear that baby throughout the whole cabin.
