Hey everyone,

Has anyone recently applied for the business charge cards gold or platinum and gotten approved? Looking to apply for it on 2 separate occasions, one for a company that has been running for almost 1 year, and another one for a separate company that has just launched not too long ago (hoping to start using it for most of the business expenses).

- Do they like the other big banks ask for BAS/biz tax returns to verify, and;
- I saw that there was a personal income vs business income, and as I am leaving most of the profits in the business instead of taking it.. would that lower my chance of getting approved?
- Any actual personal income limits that they approve against or just the standard biz $75k+ annual revenue.

Thanks heaps in advance!

I had a personal card and then applied and got accepted and they didnt ask for anything if i recall correctly (or maybe p and L) but our business has been running for 20 years and they already had at least my personal financials presumably for personal card.

Unless the application process has changed in the last 14 months since I got the Velocity Business Card, they don’t ask for anything beyond your business revenue and don’t ask for any documentation to verify it. Just put in your number and that’s it.

Did you ever find out about this? I'm in a similar position myself.
Yeah - just put in your biz income + personal and then good to go. I went for the gold.

Anyone also apply for the personal afterwards and if so how long did you wait? Thinking of getting personal platinum but might wait a few months

I'd have the personal for years before getting the business, but not sure that other way around - I don't think 'waiting' will matter particularly unless you're thinking of establishing a payment cycle on the card, but a few months is probably reasonable

out of curiousity - which pair did you end up getting up for personal + biz?
