Burnt all my points

Been diligently collecting QF points via CC offers and few flights (thanks to AFF tips). Now just burnt them all on PER-HKG-LHR and return in J (552k) plus Venice-LHR in J (52k). Looking forward to experiencing CX J for the first time. No expectations of BA J from Venice to LHR.

To answer all in 1 post. Next July and I will do a TR. 2 of us travelling and I burt a similar amount last year, takes about 12 months on average to gather up 5-600k if you're dilligent.

Given it is for 2 people, would it be better economically if you redeem your ticket using OneWorld Award? 280K in J each person?

Currently in the process of burning our as well. Just booked SYD-FCO in J for 2 with my wife's points and she's down to 16k now. Will be booking the return flight from CDG in F with mine which will leave me with a similar pitiful balance!

You were referring to a RTW right ? So I would have had to stop off in places that didn't fit in with our plans and time constraints to conform with the rules.

You don't have to fly RTW. A oneworld award can be point to point or even one-way.

Your main hurdle would have been 2 Oneworld airlines other than Qantas which you covered anyway with CX and BA. So in theory you could have done your trip with 2 Oneworld awards @ 280,000 QFF points per person.

See if you can change your current award to include the intra Europe flights and it should in theory re price the award and you cancel the separate intra Europe award.
