Half an hour of light rain and lots of thunder on bribie island

We got nothing in the city either although it looked like bad news on it's way for ages.

My goodness. Driving from Wellington Point to Wynnum and caught in the hail storm. Hail started small but was decent size later. Could not see where we were going and were saved with this cover. (Have video but cannot upload)

Full ground stop at the airport from 4:30pm due to lightning. My 4:55pm flight from BNE is now over an hour late.

Finally some decent rain in SEQ. Just emptied 100mm from the rain gauge for the last day and a half.

Another dumping of rain around Redcliffe, bit of hail too.

We have just got the first hail we have had for 5 years. no black bits in the radar even though giant hail having fallen both south and north of here. But a severe storm warning,

A storm came through and took out the power just as we were preparing to cook dinner last night.
No power for about an hour and a half. We haven't had to use candles for some years but managed to get a few going.
Dinner was a toasted sandwich on the BBQ.
