Hi
Need to do Brisbane to Europe around 17 Oct 2012 - catching a cruise in Venice going to Istanbul.

So wherever we land we need to get to Venice around 20 Oct and then Istanbul to London around 10 Nov.

UK to Brisbane around 12 December.

Also need London/New York leaving 30 Nov returning 4 Dec.

All in business (2 PAX) or first if there is a weird ticket that makes this all work.

Any restrictions on carriers / alliances / other factors?

I'd look at BNE-IST-BNE with Oneway ticket to VCE and then IST-LON-IST and LON-NYC-LON.

You could look at "open jaw" BNE-LHR-VCE, IST-LHR-BNE and slot a LHR-NYC-LHR in the middle.

A preliminary look at Open Jaw into VCE and out of IST (allowing "stopover" in LHR)
China Southern $6560 via CAN and CDG (AF to VCE, BA IST-LHR)

LH $7719 via SIN and MUC (to SIN on SQ), and then via TXL on way to LHR from IST

You may find it easier to fly to/from LHR (as heaps more options ex-Aus) and then buy separate one way flights to VCE and from IST.

You'd then look at a return fare LON-NYC-LON.

You could also look at flying IST-LON-IST and buying the transatlantic IST-JFK-IST.

There'll be a bit of playing around.

LHR-JFK-LHR
Kuwait Airlines for GPB1000
Icelandair GBP1300 (stops in iceland briefly on the way)
AA showing GBP 2265
US Air GBP1700 but one stop to NYC

IST-NYC-IST same dates
UA IST-EWR-IST ~GBP1700

Finnair Will ticket

BNE-HEL-NYC-HEL-BNE at A$9300.

Add HEL-VCE and IST-LHR-HEL in J adds EU1100-1200 (Air Baltic) or ~EU2000 on LH.

Arguably you might choose to do the EU segments in Y as the J seating is essentially Y seats with a blocked middle seat.

ok looking good - let me discuss with the beeter half

thanks
