Just to mix things up a bit, I'd say forget about Brisbane and head down to coast to Absynthe.

Some of the best food and service in Brisbane is somewhat unavailable to the public - The Qld Rugby Club. Unfortunately you have to be a member to dine there.

The Rugby Club allows functions to occur that include the 'unwashed'. Certainly I've attended such sojourns, but I agree Dining may be an issue.

I have reservations for Montrachet on Monday (thanks to the Amex concierge).

And, as it turns out, I will have another night in Brisbane next Sunday, so might try the Buffalo Club or Two.

Did indeed sit indoors, at the bar actually. Fabulous meals - I'm sitting on th Tarmac in BNE on my iPhone now so can't write much, but will fill you in in a few days (when I get back from Singapore)
