Qantas aims to reward loyalty in a new way by revamping their frequent flyer points system from July 1.
The five million frequent flyers that Qantas boasts will be able to use their points as cash on any flight, as well as merchandise and retail vouchers, whilst earning points from a widening range of partners.
The addition of a second tier to the program, known as Anyseat, will allow access to all seats on any Jetstar or Qantas flight, although at a price, which is only known at the time of booking.
Furthermore, redemptions will fluctuate depending on demand, time of flight and the availability of seats.
This will lead to travellers using more points on last minute bookings, or high-demand flights, whereas they will be rewarded for flying during quiet periods.
