yeah still no upgrades for international

massive... massive disappointment at this point for me... but I'll continue to wait to burn these points

I'll echo the sentiment that no points upgrade on long haul is very very disappointing, even if it was only available in the higher Y fare buckets and W to J, it would be better than nothing. I think this is a poor decision by VA.

As for Poly Blue, I was onboard recently APW-BNE and the cabin crew had no idea what was going! Some announcements were welcome onboard Pacific Blue, some were Poly Blue! I spoke with the Supervisor and he said they had no idea what was going on post 1 Jan. My guess is the entity will be called Virgin Polynesia, but all flights are operated by VA aircraft with VA service.

Also whoever asked about why Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America didn't get the VA code first, Atlantic missed out due to the Venezuelan airline having it and I recall reading that Branson went for VS = Very Sexy. Also I might be wrong but I think that with all the issues that VX had with getting approval to fly due to the ownership issues in the USA they missed out on VA to V Australia as the latter had approval to fly first.
