Always make sure continue to always slide your VGW card down the right hand side of the EFTPOS machine first, then enter the card into the bottom of the EFTPOS machine to pay for item, don't believe the shop person if they say you can just tap your card for paypass/paywave.
Just tapping means you effectively loose the bonus points!
Ever since I listened to the staff member, and just tapped my VGW card onto the face of the reader for EFTPOS payment, no bonus VFF points have appeared in my VFF account.
Only the usual points earnt from the payment of the purchases.
I had activated the buy one time, bonus 100 VFF points/buy 2nd time, 200 bonus VFF points, and buy 3rd time, bonus 300 VFF points.
In SA, OTR runs the franchise.

Agreed. I've fallen for this so many times and lost out.
Had many a curt conversation with the poor BP employee, who doesn't really lose sleep that some preppy middle aged chick isn't getting her bonus points.

"Swipe, then TAP lady. Swipe. Then TAP............"

And if the transaction ever fails make sure to reswipe your Velocity card first before attempting to pay again. Lost points on that one before.

If you just tap the credit card/debit card/whatever card, then they never capture your Velocity number for the transaction. It is the initial swipe of the card that captures that.
