Botswana / Gaborone travel arrangers

Does anyone have contact details for a good 'travel arranger' in Gaborone, Botswana?

I am trying to arrange transport from Gaborone (city or airport) to a game lodge in Madikwe, quite close across the border in Sth Africa.

About 2 hrs, including border formalities. I've asked the lodge, but they haven't replied (yet). Been quoted an insane $1K round trip (deliver there, collect 3 days later) by a travel wholesaler.

So am contemplating flight from JHB to the park (about $1K), but I'd like to go from Gaborone.

Any 'fixers' out there?

How did you get on with this? Sorry not to have written sooner, nor do I have a great idea(!), but was keen to ask as it captured my attention with the Botswana link. I lived there some time ago as a youngster - family still knows a couple of friends there. Not sure how easy it is to contact them but if you were still stuck, perhaps I could ask?

Ah. bit of a long story.

Never did get onto anyone on the Gaborone side, so then my travel agent started looking around and convinced me to take a scheduled charter from Johannesburg to the game park and me not visit Botswana.

Disappointing not to visit Gaborone but I get an extra day in the game park.
