We spent four days in Boston. I studied American history at Uni and did lots of walking tours. Four days is about right.

From my research mixed reactions, maybe three to four days. Any input welcome

Once you have been to the Guildhall and climbed "The Stump" there is not a lot more to do. A day trip to Skegness will reinforce how awful English coastal resorts are and in summer will be filled with people from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

The Maud Foster windmill is now a working museum and probably worth a visit.

There is novelty value in visiting the hamlet of New York on the "eight mile straight", but it is little more than novelty value.

Oh and brush up on your Portuguese and Polish.

dont forget the Kennedy library..

Totally agree, the site alone is great on the water. Easy enough to get to using train and free bus from the station.

If you're there when there is a baseball game then Fenway park is definitely worth a visit. You could easily spend a few hours enjoying Boston Common.

Agree Boston is well worth a visit. An attractive city to look at. I liked having brunch at Charley's on Newbury Street. I would think around 4 days in Boston is ideal. The city has a good feel to it.

I spend a week or two in boston a year. I love the place and have at times seriously considered moving there.

It's a great city to wander around IMHO but I do spend most my time there working.

I too am a fan of Boston …spent 3 days there in Feb , unfortunately got caught in there 5th biggest snow storm in history , so I didn't get to see much this time . If your visiting for the first time then I think 4-5 days is great . i like to get immersed in a city when i get to them and explore as much as i can .

Boston is great and easy going. Having a car makes the difference and I would spend a week there without a problem.
