Before immigration... therefore you mean the international terminal yeh ?

Yep. Duty free stores are only in international terminals.

But as you are not flying an international flight, you can't buy duty free.

Hi Clive M - I got a pair 2 weeks ago. They are my first pair of noise cancelling headphones so I can't compare with others. They'll get their first onboard run on a trip to SIN this week and I'll post feedback. From use around home I can tell you they are very light and comfortable. The case is compact (21cm x 14cm x 5cm) You can now use them with no battery, which apparently couldn't be done with QC 15s - though you really need them powered for decent listening experience IMHO. I'm really happy with the sound quality and the noise cancelling performance. So all up I'm very pleased that I got them.

Back from our SIN trip and I was very happy with the comfort and performance of the QC 25s during both flights. Two thumbs up.

In theory, and both of us know how to get a domestic BP on an international segment without the D sticker (not that there would be anyway I would try it)

Standard prices are often highly inflated in SIN, like at Harvey Norman in AU, so that they can do large % off promotions.

Picked them up for $400 at the Bose Store in the Dubai Mall. Very impressed, used them on the flight home and can't say a bad thing about them. Comfortable, compact and totally block out the plane noise. I had been using old Bose's then went to Dr Dre Beats so a big improvement over those!!!

Slightly off topic but relevant, I bought a pair of the Bose Quiet Comfort 20 in ear noise cancelling headphones and I have found them to be a revelation. I like to cram as many movies as I can into long flight trips and I find that most on or over ear sets end up giving me a headache but these new ones work brilliantly - almost completely cancelling the plane noise, are comfortable and the sounds seems great to me. It also doubles as a hands free on your phone and there are versions for Android and Apple depending on your phone. They have a (not too big) lithium battery that lasts 15+ hours and is recharged via USB. On a couple of flights I have plugged it into a charger while using it to make sure I didn't run out. They are the best travel accessory I have ever bought!!!!

Thats a negative in my opinion. USB powered gadgets are very welcome on my HLO trips.

I have both QC15 and QC25. Not much diff in terms of sound quality but QC25 is slightly better with the noise cancelling in flight. Don't bother using the QC25 without turning it on, it's terrible! I bought my QC25 for $339 from Myer plus there was a $50 off from Amex for purchase of $250 and above which dropped the price down to $289! I believe you can still get it for around $339 if you look around or ask Myer.

I read that the rechargeable battery cannot be replaced. Have you had to deal with that problem yet?

My QC25's died in the left ear after only 5 months. Such poor build quality.
