My wife and I are hiring an Au pair from Germany. She is coming out in July this year, and returning in July 2014.

I've been looking at fare options for her, and am finding it difficult to book now, for travel on the dates required.

What options are there for a ticket issued in the next few months, that allows travel a year apart when the return leg is 18 months away? Am i going to need a travel agent to sort this?

thanks

terry

Hi Terry

Availability for July next year hasn't come out as yet...normally will be available in August.
I can't think of any other options except a one way ticket, or a return ticket that is flexible on future dates that you could change when the new availability comes out (however they normally only allow you a year to change the date I think)

Thanks, I was thinking of the changeable ticket, but could only find evidence of tickets that last 12 months as you suggest. I just couldn't work out if it was 12 months from the initial flight, or 12 months from the ticket issue date.
