Hi, I am currently planning a trip for April/May next year. I want to go SYD - Rome and return LHR - SYD mostly in Y+
The flight to Rome is what I'm having trouble with. Using the multi city search the only option I get is a 9 hour connection at DXB . Of course y+ is available only on the QF leg. Ideally I think the best route is to fly to lhr and connect with BA to Rome. What is the best way of doing this? On the web, phone or TA?
Also, how often do premium economy sales come up? I was wondering if I should wait a few months.

When you tried multi-city, did you search as 3 segments:
SYD-DXB
DXB-LHR
LHR-FCO

Or 2 segments
SYD-LHR
LHR-FCO?

Look at BA -. Lower cost is worth more than QF points/SC's

You're doing this the wrong way round, once you go into premium cabins, you're better off doing London first and flying out of Rome. Will avoid >$300 departure taxes from the UK!!
