We're having a long weekend up in the Whitsundays next month, and I was wondering - is there any particular difference between booking with JQ or with QF?
I'm looking at the JetFlex fares for SC earn, with QF it's $3 dearer each way, but otherwise seem much the same. Any SC or other benefits for booking through QF?
I do have a QF Platinum Amex, so I guess I'll get some more points through that by the booking going through Qantas.

Thanks!

Booking with or flying with? If your flying Jetstar I believe its easier to book with them direct rather than through the Qantas website. Maybe I don't understand the question though..

Booking with or flying with?

Booking with. The flights are operated by JQ regardless. There does seem to be an option to fly home via Cairns on QF/Qantaslink flights, but costs a fair bit more.
I just wondered if there's any particular difference, apart from flight codes.

If you book with QF you’ll get the same ticket as with JQ, ie. no food provided for free etc, so you’re probably better off booking with JQ straight up. As mentioned, you’ll also be able to use their online check-in then.

FWIW, I tried booking through the QF site & ended up being routed through to the jetstar site for actual purchase & completion.
