Booking flights NYC to Halifax, Canada.

Hi, making our own way to New York, but ultimately need to make a side trip to Halifax.

What is the best way to book return flights from NYC to Halifax?

It looks like both United and Delta fly the route.

Also last time I Booked a US internal flight 10 years ago they wanted the credit card to be domiciled in the US. Any experience recently on that?

AC offers the most flights between LGA and YHZ via YOW, YYZ or YUL. Never had to show a credit card in US or Canada for tickets bought online.

Funny how things change. I swear we flew with AA JFK-YHZ back in 1998.

NinnyPoo, I am looking at doing the same thing myself. United and Delta both fly direct to Halifax whilst AC, US & AA go via various stops. Depends on whether you want a direct flight or not. Direct is about 2 hours each way otherwise it's 4 hours going via somewhere. I plan on using Delta to fly direct (they are marginally dearer than United). You can book via webjet with no issues on credit card.

Thanks Gredgy69 . As I am sure you have seen the fares are not that cheap. Will definitely do the direct flight given how far we will have travelled to get to NYC.

No the fares aren't cheap. I have been watching since October last year to get an idea for 2015. The cheapest I had seen was around $500 per person (so would would mean $2k for the family). I will continue to watch - who knows I might end up going via somewhere if the price differential make its worthwhile and the times are ok, but my preference as mentioned is direct.
