Apologies, but I couldnt find a generic Qantas Q/A thread

I have Qantas Points Club, no status, family member has a QFF account, they are going to book a flight,
would there be any benefit if they booked through my QFF account? (if its at all possible for me to book flights under my account with their name on the flights)

There is never a benefit to my knowledge, as all possible Qantas shared benefits can be obtained without you booking it.

e.g. If you're Silver or above and on the same flight, then as long as you're also travelling on the booking you can seat select everybody into Frequent Flyer-only seating

If you're Platinum One, your enhanced upgrade priority for family members can be put through regardless of who booked the flight.

The only time you'd book for someone else when you're not travelling is if you wish to pay using your own points.
