Can anyone help me with this one please.
I would like to book 2 around the world trip (5 stops) using points. Between us we have enough points, 285000. We are both bronze members, but I was advised that if you book under a silver membership that you can make time and date changes (which is what i might have to do) without 2500 points penalities. I know that you can transfer points to a family silver member and have them book tickets for you, but you can only transfer a maximum of 100000 points per 12 months.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make this work for me.

Well you can always get to silver status normally. :)

If you want to wait a long time you can transfer the points over time to a relative or close friend until they get the points.

Another way is to book the tickets as a bronze and hope to get silver by the time you fly and try to change it then.

You can always also plan your trip very carefully and hope to not need to change.

Otherwise i really cannot see any other way to do it.

Regards
Daniel
