Hi. If I were to book an airfare by changing the country on their website ( ie on the LATAM website changing the country to Peru) - apart from having to have it translated- will there be any complications when I go to catch the flight in the selected country? I read somewhere that sometimes it can be declined. Thanks

The general rule... if you can book it, you can fly it :)

If you have to go out of your way to book it... putting in a fake address, or fake zip code or using a VPN specifically to get around a booking restriction... then you might have a problem if the fare is a specially restricted fare for say residents of the country or something. But this isn’t something especially common.

Generally it's fine, but in the specific example you've given there used to be (maybe still is?) a warning in Spanish that the fares presented are only available to Peruvian residents and that you'd be charged a penalty at check-in if you can't show Peruvian ID.

Perfect. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It’s invaluable to a rookie like me.
