Booking Accor Hotel for Night of Departure

Apologies if OT, but have booked flexible Novotel Ngurah Rai Airport the night we depart rather than non refundable day use.
Q1 Any issues checking out early (like very early 8pm) as opposed to the next morning?

Q2. Would day use be classified as a Night Stay?

I have checked into a hotel and checked out an hour later, and it was credited as a stay. I really don't think the hotel cares as long as you pay them

Drop your key in the express checkout box and it's unlikely to be processed until the morning. Or leave the key in your room when you leave, then call the hotel in the morning to let them know you locked yourself out of the room but had to catch a bus/train/flight.

In my experience day use rates earn points but not nights.

I've done this so many times that it is just muscle memory now. I did it the other day at the Novotel airport front desk at MEL, but totally forgot it's a 24 hour front desk. Had 3 front desk people at 9pm with not another person in sight watch me drop the card in the express checkout, then look over at them sheepishly, then we all had a good laugh about it.

So yeah, perhaps don't do that if they are standing there at a 24 hour checkin desk, as said above they don't care what time you are checking out, unless it is past checkout time of course.
