HI,

wasn't sure where to ask this, whether it should be in the QFF forum or the AA forum, or somewhere else.

I've built myself up a status run for January, and am wondering how I go about booking it. Google flights prices it about $10 more than AA.com.

I've found reference to booking on AA.com and using a UK or a US address, and then calling up and getting my QFF number allocated.

is that still the best way to go abut it? or take my flight numbers to a travel agent and get them to book it?

as always, your advise will be appreciated.

thanks

terry

If you're booking revenue flights online you can use your own address and out your QFF in at the time of booking.

I have had no problems with AU add addresses on the aa.com website.

I usually use the US site as its often cheaper. No issue with an Aussie address either.

Just thought I'd post that I booked and paid for the US flights on AA.com. No problems other than they aren't showing up on my QF FF page for upcoming trips, though the booking on AA.com shows my QF FF number.

They won't show up on QFF, as long as your QFnumber is in the booking you will be fine. Keep all BPs until the flights post correctly.

That's normal. Your AA bookings will show on the AA website. If you added your QFF #, then you will get the QFF points and SC.

Edit: The only reason for your bookings to show on the QF site would be by booking the QF codeshare flight numbers.

And remember to keep all boarding passes as evidence, in case of crediting issues.

What kind of SC/$ ratio did you get out of the run?

400SC for US$690. They will come in handy as I had to fly VA for 6 months for the place I was working, so need to collect a years worth of SCs in about 7 months, and my new place is so cheap they only book red edeals.

Care to share the routing now that you've booked? Either here or in status run thread.

Roughly how long does it take for AA SC's to post?

Have a status run in April and if don't get comped SG at end of March I will re qualify after first few legs, if they post.
