Sorry to ask question perhaps I should know the answer to but where would I go to purchase a 'd' class syd-jfk but only with qf.

I've looked on expertflyer and see there is 'd' class availability on flt. I wish but don't know the next step for booking.

First time business if I can manage it, so very exciting for me.
cheers

I think you will find out that for the general public the best fare that will price out is a 'C' fare at $17k approx A/I
I imagine some travel agents that have access to corp rates may be able to otherwise it would be part of a oneworld product to get D class.

Its a very busy lucrative route for QF and discounts really just dont happen.

This is from my observations , if you have the time its cheaper to go the long way around (either come type of xONEx or xGLOBx type fare, circle pacific ex AU is now same sort of price as return flights)

D class is the class used for circle and RTW fares. On QF it would work out much cheaper to use a circle fare for JFK.This would mean one leg with AA,CX or JAL though.Best is going via NRT as the JL and AA flights NRT-JFK both arrive in JFK about 6pm so by the time you get to your hotel time for bed and I usually wake the next morning ready to go.If doing a circle fare best to do the return leg on QF as there is a long connection in NRT on the way back.On the other hand the NRT lounges beat those at LAX.

If you can get access to a corporate TA, they can often get you a corporate D class fare much cheaper than the standard retail nett.

You could purchase a First class circle fare (and go via Asia in one direction) for less than the cost of flying business Australia-JFK-Australia.

My recently purchased SYD-BKK (Oct) shows as D class. This was a simple on line booking on the Qantas site. I didn't do anything special (that I know of!) and just chose the cheapest business class fare on the days I wanted to travel.

The return BKK-SYD (Nov) shows as C class.

Can I ask out of interest how much the fare was booking via the QF site?
