I'm sure that this has been asked many times before but I wasn't sure where to find the details so would appreciate some information.

If, say, I find a OW flight through MH, CX, BA or whichever site but that flight is not showing on the QFF site as an available reward flight, is it still possible to book the flight using QF points?

If so, what is the procedure? I assume that it requires a phone call and phone booking fees.

I have seen plenty of examples of reward flights with MH showing on the BA site but not on QFF, for example.

Please just point me to a suitable thread if it's easier.

correct - you'd need to call Qantas. Qantas may or may not be able to see the exact same availability as you find elsewhere. Worth asking for a waiver of the fee. Whether or not you get it will depend on the agent (some will tell you 'not all awards can be booked on line', others will appreciate it's a website issue and may waive the fee).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks. I guess that if they can't see it then it's simply not bookable through QF. Can you confirm that they can see and book flights that aren't showing on the web-site?

A case of HUACA.
