The Embraer family have quite decent range - from 3330km in the standard E170, to 4260km in the LR E190 - anywhere on the Australian mainland, anywhere in NZ, and a good way out into the Pacific too!
As for the size of the seats, US carrier Republic Airlines (for US Air Express) operates E170s with 18.5"-wide seats pitched at 33".
This compares more than favorably with the 17"-wide seats pitched at 31" on US Air's mainline 737NG aircraft. Assuming that DJ keep the seat-pitch they advertise on their 737's, their Embraers should be quite comfortable.
