Bonus Velocity Status Credits for VA flights - Book & fly between 12 January and 31 March 2026

To be fair..I was probably outbid by a dog on my MEL-PER sector the other day. Yep it was in 2F. Okay maybe the handler in 2D had bought two seats (that would have been probably rather expensive) but the dog was rather the star .. obedient and quiet. It was on the floor. I sat in 3A... jealous!🤣🤣🫣
I thought pets weren’t permitted in J or was it an assistance dog?

What’s with the bonus 10 points per flight!! …..10????? Is that a joke?
It was the same with last year's similar promotion - suspicions were it was a placeholder for the bonus so IT systems could work things out. (Like this represents a fare of $2 (red) or $1 (WP, PP) - not going to happen)

To be honest, Virgin would have make our lives easier by selling Forever Gold for $144,000 or slightly less and need us not to fly.
If you have to request that to get status on an airline you have no intention of flying, then why even bother?

So, could I be correct in assuming that a flight I booked before 12 January 2026 but flew on 20 January 2026 will not be eligible for this promotion?

Also, does anyone know when we could actually expect the bonus SCs from this promo to credit? My review date is 2 May but I note the T&Cs say it could take six weeks from the end of the promo period (31 March).

I think you're right about flights booked before the 12th Jan, the T&Cs say it has to be both booked and flown during the period, but perhaps you'll get lucky.

Looking at my statement from last year the credits posted on 14th April.
