Now the Forbes Asia offer shows the points on offer when you click on the link. I was thinking that PPS members would get a better deal but...

Also, I can't find anywhere to put in my Krisflyer number on The Economist website. It defaults to Vietnam for me, yet despite changing my country to Australia, there's still no option to type in my Krisflyer number. Hmmm...maybe I have bad reading comprehension?

I also seem to be in Vietnam. And I couldn't work out how to opt for the print edition only. Maybe the points offer applies only to the "Best Offer" combo.

Country selection is in the top right of the page.

I'm cautious about exactly which offer gets the 12.500 miles....I'm hoping the $77 minimum subscription

But still I don't see a KF field.

I've sent an enquiry off to the Economist email.

Please report back. Looks like an interesting offer.

So it's now working. The deal is 1 year for $438 and 8,000 points or 3 years for $1,117 and 12,000 points. Maybe someone will find it useful. The one year deal looks like a better points earn.

Not working for me yet. No amount shows in the Amount Payable box and nothing happens if I click on 'Complete Purchase'. Have sen them an email.

Sorry to hear that. I just looked at the page as I'm deciding if I want to go ahead. I hope it worked out for you!

This is the relevant part of the email I received:
To benefit from this you need to subscribe through your airmiles provider, under one of their promotions.
Also you try to susbcribe [sic] again using a different browser.
Well, I was using the SQ link and I don't wish to change my browser, so I let it go. I'll be interested to hear if anyone else has had more success.

Thanks for the heads up. It seems like one would even have problems getting the points credited to their account. Yes I'm interested in seeing if anyone is successful.

Oh well, SPG 20,000 point purchase is definitely a better value. I just wish a bank would introduce a Krisflyer credit card with an awesome sign up bonus plus great points earn. Yep, I'm dreaming!
