Jakarta bombing: Marriott, Ritz-Carlton hit; 9 dead | World News | News.com.au

Dang, I was only staying 500M up the road a couple of weeks ago as well not to mention shopping in the department stores across the road from the Marriott

Another shameful act by coward terrorists

I hope you are caught and lined up against the wall - I will happily donate to pay for the bullets

Those who have died - my heart felt sympathy

Mr!

I know where you are coming from Mr P and I share your outrage but lining them up against a wall and shooting them is probably exactly what they want.
I would prefer a form of punishment that makes them suffer as much as the families of those they have murdered.

The Indonesian courts will most likely give them a few years, as long as they repent to Allah. Unless they were killed in the explosions, then they're already (in their minds just before) with Allah.

It's sad, but that's what's to be expected with places like that these days. Things will get better and then it'll happen again.

Good news for people travelling there soon, they've probably run out of bomb making supplies, so you'll be fine.

There are some people that do not quiet understand how difficult it is, or the effort required, to bomb luxury hotels in Jakarta. I had to stay at the Sheraton in Jakarta in 2005, not part of the plan as the company sponsoring me had the dates mixed up and ended up leaving me stranded at the airport, and it is surrounded by a high fence and the hotel is a long way from the main road.

It is only when you see visit these places and see just how much security they have in place that you realise the extremes that some people will go to in order to cause harm to totally innocent people....
