Wanting a bit of advice. Thinking of a short break to Singapore early next year and wanting people advice of airlines, I have a choice of 3 at this stage.
EK 777-300, QF 330-200 (i think), SQ 330-300 or 777-200

I'm not worried about loyalty or timings just your favourite and why

Any other non stop, full service airlines.

I'm on QF51 BNE-SIN (J) in 2.5 weeks for the first time on an A330-300 I believe. Have done the EK 777 previously in (J) usual EK standard just an OMG time of morning which you said is of no concern. Very light load in J maybe only a dozen people on the last flight. Will at least be able to compare the 2 shortly :D have never flown SQ.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AQ A333 J is a sloping flat bed if that's a concern. Very comfy though, just maybe not 100% ideal for sleep and not every seat has direct aisle access. It's a very pleasant daytime flight though, comfy enough and excellent SQ service and food (in my experience at least).

I've flown the SQ J product in the 777-200ER and A330 on this route and the 777 hard product was ahead by miles. 2-2-2 layout in A330 v 1-2-1 in 777 so the window seats are very private. For a day time flight, the A330 is perfectly fine though as the 777 is only on one of the four flights per day. Can't comment on QF as the last time I flew them to SIN on QF51 in J they had the 747 instead of the A330 although the new QF product looks very good. Same for the EK product as I've flown J in the A380 but not the 777. Service wise though, in my experience, the SQ service is always consistently great compared to EK.

Thanks very much for your input. I am starting to lean towards SQ now. I am not a fan of the QF J product and the EK service leaves at 02.30 in the morning and whilst I said timings were not a deal breaker, a 9.10am departure from BNE (A330) and a 9.40am return from SIN (777) certainly looks good

I did QF52 SIN-BNE in J a couple of weeks ago. It was a very pleasant flight - good service and the J suite is excellent. Comfortable for sleeping, and lots of space to work/relax on day flights.

I would personally avoid Emirates on this route because of the J configuration on their 777s (2-3-2 and angle-flat beds).

I haven't yet flown SQ J.

Ok, so the flights I mentioned above appear to have been changed to A350-900's. Anyone have any experience with these craft?

I haven't tried any recent SQ J (only the old regional that was on the A330s), but I fully expect it'll be excellent.

I'm just pleased to see it's got premium econ, as the corporate travel policy will pay for that but not J!

There's plenty of trip reports online, try flight-report.com or sqtalk website for good detail.

General feedback is very comfy but small cubby hole for feet in bed mode can be uncomfortable for taller folk.

With the changeover of BNE flights to 359s I've now around 30 hours of flying time to find out whether that's an issue early next year!

Have been on the A350 in J on SIA recently and was impressed.

The bulkhead seats will give you more room for your feet but even the normal ones were fine for me, I'm 5ft10"

Food was awesome, ate too much as so hard to say no to such yummy dishes!

I loved QF51 and QF 52 in J last year - fully lie flat bed was hard to beat. Food good etc
But can't compare to other products on this sector ...

save your pennies for the flight up ... it's only 7/8 hrs and you're awake anyway. get an aisle seat in the row of 4 on the A330 QF service and hope for a spare seat next to you (viola, poor mans business class). I just did this yesterday on the QF51.

on the way back the QF J is pretty good for sleeping over night.
