Here in BNE, the VA terminal was just evacuated due to a security breach. Not sure if this applies to other airlines too, though as there is only a single sterile area, I presume that to be the case. If you're flying tonight, expect delays

As soon as delays are mentioned my name is mentioned!

I think delays at their worst were ~90mins max. Not sure I would have been too keen to get back into check-in area and then wait to go back through again.

Very frustrating but I was lucky I was out of there a couple of hours earlier.

These seems to be a common problem in BNE.

We hear this a few times every year

My mum and sister were flying VA to syd last night. They were originally on the ~5:30 flight. It was delayed to 6:30, that flight was cancelled and they eventually left at ~8:30. They weren't too impressed.
