Here is a challenge for anyone with some spare time.

I need to leave BNE on either a Wed night or Thu AM to arrive in CTU (Chegndu, China) on Thu, leaving CTU Sun to arrive POM on Mon, and then returning to BNE at a later date.

The best I came up with:
BNE-QF551-SYD-CX138-HKG-KA820-CTU-KA821-HKG-CX111-SYD-QF351-POM-back to Aus on QF.

Suggested it to travel agent and she mentioned maybe a circle fare? Any other ideas?

Do you only want oneworld or related or do you just want to get there?

Oneworld is preference, *A is ok, getting CTU Thur, Leaving CTU Sun and getting to POM Mon is the important part. If I can't get there then I will get no points at all!

DO you have the ITA trip planner link? I ran that through and it came up with some options - too many to list here. You could do that and see what routings are available and then sub in OW flights -e.g. it suggested BNE-SYD-PEK-CTU (last segment on china air ) but BNE-SYD was on DJ so you could sub in QF.

If you could construct the bulk of the flights around a bne-syd-hkg-ngo-bne circle asia and then put in some other flights to connect to CTU and POM that migth keep cost down...

WOW! Confusing (for this trip anyway), but what a great tool! Thanks for that.
