Bne and TRS counter hrs

Hi
Just on the way to hawaii.....completed trs claim on app....trs counter not open so had to complete the paper form and post my receipts....does this happen alot or is it because they might be short staffed due to the strike tomorrow? Flying out 10.40pm

I had a midnight flight a few months back and both the TRS office downstairs and the TRS counter were open quite late.
