Looks like one of my pet peeves with Airtrain might be fixed by Jan, today's Courier Mail has a story about their record profit and the fact they are in talks with Translink to extend services to meet later services - hooray!

Great!!

(Meaningless Characters to be able to post)

They are finally listening to the people who need the service the most!

I can't see taxi drivers being too happy about it though....

Talks... lol. Pollie talk for pigs may fly, we are just waiting for the wings to be made.

It probably will happen tho. But cynical me does think fares will then jump another dollar to cover costs.

More time for the lounge, the Virgin lounge that is.

The problem as I heard for the extra noise after 8:00pm, but hopefully they can extend the service for another hour.

Noise, the line runs along unpopulated land until it gets to Toombul, and we are talking two services in each direction an hour! Surely a service until 11 would be popular, I know Coachtrans is a good alternative for some but it did take me 90 minutes to get to my home in West End a few Saturdays ago.

It will be great but....

Delayed flights will mean that some people might miss the last train for home.

I would be great if it runs until 11pm or 11.30pm.

I know that feeling. A couple of weeks ago I just missed the last train so thought I would try the coachtrans door to door option to the Gold Coast. 3 hrs and 15 minutes and 11 drop offs after leaving BNE domestic I hopped out at Robina railway station desperate for the loo and caught a cab home from there. Personally, I would love to see the airtrain run through until 11pm

Agree, last train 11pm would be a massive improvement.

First train to make it in time for first domestic departure (5am summer, 6am winter) would also be ideal.
