We're pleased to announce that Family membership launched on 1 December 2009, allowing you and your family to combine your destinations miles and take advantage of awards sooner.

There is one 'Head of Account' and up to eight members of the family, which can even include staff such as nannies and security. All family members continue to be Diamond Club members in their own right and are invited by the 'Head of Account' to join the family membership - at which point they can accept or decline.

So... who of you will be my nanny and security staff?? ;)

Passengers with a security detail flying commercial?

Someone tell them they're dreaming...

Security staff are quite common for 'important' foreigners in the developing world (read: especially Africa).

And as Flashware suggests, some couriers who carry high value items do travel with security on commercial airliners.

Plus you never know, maybe the private jet is in at the garage :p:p
