Yeah, I know I'm happy to QF bash when it comes to corporate, but flipping heck, I'll give credit where it's due.
On QF35 at the mo. Lovely welcome, and a solid bit of banter from the crew. It's one of those classic Qantas flights where you step on and just feel like you're at home.
CSM Andy - who's enjoying his birthday today - is a lovely bloke, and the whole crew are in good spirits. Here's hoping Singapore's good to him this evening.
Nobody's told me off nearly an hour into the flight. This is a definite positive.
I've already dropped (and found) one earbud already.
The old workhorse A332 is a "Known Quantity", but it's this soft product touch that keeps QF with a soft spot in my heart.
Alright, full confession: I did hit the coughtail menu hard at brekky in the Flounge - and the Soba Bowl is a disturbingly great breakfast option.
But if every QF flight's service like this, so early into a flight, hit this metric for me, what a world we'd live in.
I'm *actually* looking forward to seeing how the lamb prosciutto platter and chicken are come lunchtime.
And even the Tommy's Margarita tastes a little fresher than usual...
...What's going on?
