Hi all,

I am flying J to HKG next month and have chosen 13A on the A380 (rows 11 & 12 not available for me to select). I wasn't expecting to have the option of Emerald City as a SG at all, so very happy with that.

I have been looking on Expertflyer (to create a seat alert in case 12A or similar becomes available) and can see that 13B is 'blocked' - but is available to me on the QF MMB. I should tick over to WP mid-trip so have I gained a 'shadow' or is it something else?

Any info appreciated - just curious to see what's going on!

Thanks all.

It's possible if the flight is very lightly loaded or your PCV is high enough you could have a shadow. Is it J9C9D9 etc?

It's currently

J/9 C/9 D/0 I/0 U/0

And I can count 15 'available' seats (either blocked or vacant). So maybe that's it! I don't know how they calculate PCV but I don't fly as much as some people on here!

I fully expect the seat to be unblocked at T-80 (and I also hope row 12 becomes available at T-80 too!

Thanks!
