I have noticed that my passport and other people I’ve spoken to have a small black marker swipe across the smaller black and white passport photo on the page adjacent to the main data page of our passports.

Has anyone else experienced this and do you know what it means? I’m assuming this was done by an immigration officer somewhere…

PA - Its a hand drawn mark and it doesn't seem to be accidental. Perhaps an internal mark for immigration for the UK or USA?

There were no issues during travel to the UK last June, so I suspect it's a clandestine checkmark for immigration authorities. Although, it could have been that the exact same mark has been made on people's passports are an accident I guess. What are the odds?
