BKK to BNE - Can't book J, only Y

HI All,

Seeing if I can leverage the collective Wisdom.

I was trying to book J BKK/BNE for mid Oct but there are no options available. I can book separate tickets BKK/SIN SIN/BKK but not one ticket.
I can if I select a Y ticket however.

Any ideas? Is this normal?

I tried searching on SQ website BKK-BNE J return 15/10 to 31/10 no flights were returned. However, Matrix ITA is returning flights ONLY when forced to look for SQ flights. This could be because SQ is not selling these seats/route yet? or there could be some restriction to purchase these fares on the website and only customer care can sell these seats? Just guessing here ..

I think it's better to call SQ and get the tickets booked.

To piggy back on this thread - is there a problem with including a TG flight on a Star Alliance redemption? I can see wide open availability for BKK-LHE and BKK-ISB on the United site, but not a single seat in any class for any date on the SQ site. SQ have just told me the flights on my preferred date are not available but not said there is a blanket block.

You found availability in economy BKK-BNE? I was trying for so long to bring wife and daughter back and in the end booked revenue one-way.
