On qf24 last night ( qf WP ) and check-in directed me for the first time to the EK lounge rather than the previous CIP Lounge (which I don't rate ).

I went to the Cathay lounge as usual. No complaints, love their noodle bar &dim sum and always seems to be quiet when I am there.

The EK lounge was on the way to the gate so I thought I would drop in.

Must say I was impressed. Much busier than CX but the food selection I thought was outstanding. Can't comment on the drink selection as I was on Singha :)

In future I'll be visiting both. If time is short, It will be a tough choice but I think I will dump my much loved CX lounge for EK now.

Big call. The CX lounge in BKK is one of my favourites as a QF SG. Always quiet when I'm there, view of the runway, fresh food, good drink selection. Actually feels like it is providing some level of escape from the crowds of the airport..
